Take part in this televised event that has attracted world-class athletes like Mo Farah and Haile Gebrselassie. With 60,000 runners the atmosphere is guaranteed to be electric!

The route starts in Newcastle, crosses the River Tyne then runs through Gateshead, South Tyneside and ends in South Shields.

Running in Memory of my brother Christopher and a Cause Close to Our Hearts!

Hey there!

I'm lacing up my running shoes and hitting the track, all in memory of my awesome brother, Christopher. He was not just my brother, but my best mate, and I miss him every day.

Have you heard of The Chris Lucas Trust? It was set up after the world lost a bright young star, Chris, to rhabdomyosarcoma in 2000. It's a tough-sounding word, right? It's a rare kind of cancer that's super tricky to treat. But here's the amazing part: Chris's incredible parents, both named Lynn (cool coincidence, huh?), decided to fight back. They've already raised a whopping £2 million for research at the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR)!

So, as I run, I'm not just remembering Christopher, but also supporting a cause that's working hard to kick rhabdomyosarcoma to the curb.
